Optical Coherence Tomography, better known as OCT, uses light signal to image the micro-layers of tissues and other samples. While OCT has many applications, from scientific to medical to manufacturing, the technology has not been affordable — until now. 3D reconstruction of murine brain vasculature murine brain vasculature microCT images following perfusion with MediLumine's Vascupaint silicone injection compound. Perfusion was performed in laboratory of Dr. Sean Marelli (Department of Neurology, McGovern Medical School at UT Health, Houston Texas). Harvested brain organ were shipped to Bruker corp (Billerica, MA) for imaging and scans were acquired at 6 microns on a SkyScan 1276 imaging system.
